Hotels are becoming increasingly common places to stay, especially in the developing world, but what names will be attached to the places they open?
This year, the Hotel Artemis in Johannesburg will be named after a Greek goddess of wisdom, Artemis.
The hotel will also be named for an ancient Greek goddess.
Hotel Artemis in Johannesberg will be renamed in 2018.
According to the hotel’s official website, the hotel will feature a “cultural centre for the whole family” and “unique features” like “a large and spectacular pool”.
It will also feature a spa with a 30-metre pool and a gym.
The project was launched by the Johannesburg-based hotel developer, Hotel Artemis, which has also recently opened a luxury hotel in Hong Kong, and a luxury spa in Dubai.
“We are honoured to be chosen as the brand name for a luxury resort in the heart of the capital of South Africa, Johannesburg,” the hotel said in a statement.
“It will provide us with the opportunity to be at the forefront of a new wave of luxury hotel design.”
The hotel is one of two hotel projects in Johannesbunde, the second city of the province of Southern Rhodesia.
